Terms and Conditions

  1. Introduction
By visiting, using, or engaging with Blueprint Theory’s website, forms, questionnaires, communications, and services (hereinafter collectively referred to as "services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, including our Disclaimer and Privacy Policy, which are incorporated herein by reference. Our Disclaimer and Privacy Policy can be found below on our website's Legal page. The term "you" refers to anyone who uses, visits, and/or engages with our services. Blueprint Theory ("company," "we," "us," or "our") reserves the right to amend or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time without notice. Changes will be communicated via email or on our website. Your continued use of the services after any changes constitutes your acceptance of those changes. If you do not agree with these Terms and Conditions, please do not access or use the services.

  2. Scope of Services
Blueprint Theory provides bespoke visualisations for interiors, events, and design, including digital concept development, mood boards, design proposals, and virtual styling. Our services are primarily digital and conceptual, aimed at enhancing the aesthetics and functionality of spaces and events through visual interpretation. In-person styling services are only offered when specifically accepted by Blueprint Theory; otherwise, our services are limited to digital offerings. Geographic restrictions or exclusions may apply.

  3. Client Responsibilities
Clients must provide accurate and complete information regarding their requirements and expectations at the outset of the project, ideally within 1-2 weeks of project commencement. Clients are responsible for verifying the accuracy of any measurements, quantities, or other specifications provided. Clients must also keep their contact information up to date and provide feedback on design concepts or revisions within 3-5 business days. For final approvals, clients should aim to respond within 5-7 business days to ensure timely progress of the project.

  4. Design Intent and Limitations
Blueprint Theory’s visualisations, including but not limited to design boards, proposals, and mood boards, are conceptual and intended to convey design intent. They are not to be used as construction documents or engineering guidelines. We do not engage in the design or modification of structural, mechanical, or technical systems. Clients are advised to consult licensed professionals for any construction or technical requirements. Clients are responsible for reviewing and approving all designs before finalising or implementing them to ensure they meet their expectations and requirements.

  5. Revisions and Additional Services
Each project includes up to two rounds of revisions as part of the standard scope of work. The number of revisions beyond this, or any additional services required, must be purchased as an add-on. Additional revisions may incur extra fees and could extend the timeline of the project. Clients can request additional revisions or services by contacting us through the provided communication channels. Any changes to the number of included revisions will be agreed upon during the initial phase of communication.

  6. Intellectual Property
All materials provided by Blueprint Theory, including but not limited to drawings, designs, concepts, and photographs, are protected by copyright and other intellectual property rights. Blueprint Theory retains ownership of all underlying intellectual property. Clients are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the final design deliverables for personal or commercial use as specified in the project scope. Any commercial use or modification of the designs requires written consent from Blueprint Theory.

Upon receipt of full payment, clients are granted this license for the intended purpose only. Blueprint Theory reserves the right to use the designs and materials in its portfolio and for promotional purposes. The client may not alter, resell, or distribute the designs beyond the agreed scope without explicit written permission from Blueprint Theory.

  7. Accuracy of Digital Representations
Due to the nature of digital visualisations, colours, textures, and other design elements may vary slightly from real-life applications. Blueprint Theory strives to represent these elements as accurately as possible, but variations may occur due to differences in screen displays and materials used. To mitigate discrepancies, clients are strongly advised to request, source, or view physical samples whenever feasible. Clients should be aware of potential discrepancies and verify physical samples as needed to ensure the final result meets their expectations.

  8. Service-Specific Responsibilities

    • Interiors: Clients must ensure that all measurements, dimensions, and material specifications are accurate and provided by qualified professionals. Blueprint Theory is not responsible for discrepancies in these details.

    • Events: Clients are responsible for obtaining all necessary permits, approvals, and logistical arrangements for event-related designs. Blueprint Theory’s designs are for visualisation purposes only and do not include event coordination unless explicitly agreed upon.

    • Design: For any design work, clients must ensure that all technical drawings and specifications are reviewed and approved by relevant professionals before implementation. Blueprint Theory’s designs are conceptual and intended to inspire or guide the design process.

  9. Quotes and Validity
All quotes provided by Blueprint Theory are valid for 30 days from the date of issue. After this period, the quote may be subject to change. If the project scope or requirements change after the validity period, a revised quote will be issued. Clients will be notified of any changes to the quote via email or through direct communication channels. The revised quote will outline the updated scope and associated costs. Clients must review and approve the revised quote before proceeding with the project.

  10. Timing and Delivery
Project timelines are dependent on the timely provision of information and approvals by the client. Delays in client responses may result in extended project timelines. Timing will be agreed upon during the initial phase of communication. Blueprint Theory is not responsible for delays caused by third parties, including but not limited to contractors, suppliers, or shipping services.

In cases where delays are caused by third parties, Blueprint Theory will make reasonable efforts to assist the client in resolving issues and mitigating any impact on the project timeline. However, we do not offer financial compensation or recourse for delays attributed to third parties. Clients should address such delays directly with the involved third parties.

  11. In-Person Styling Services
If in-person styling services are requested, they are subject to an hourly fee of $120. The service begins from the time Blueprint Theory staff leave the office in Penrith and ends when they return to the office or upon completion of the agreed styling tasks, whichever comes first. Availability of in-person services may be subject to location, timing, and other factors. Clients can request in-person services through the provided communication channels. Additional costs for travel or accommodation may apply depending on the location and duration of the service.

  12. Purchase Recommendations
Blueprint Theory provides recommendations and suggestions for products and materials as part of our design services. However, we are not responsible for changes in product availability or pricing that may occur after our recommendations are made. Prices and availability of recommended items are subject to change by the manufacturers or suppliers. Clients are encouraged to verify the current availability and pricing of any products or materials before making a purchase. Blueprint Theory does not guarantee the availability or pricing of recommended items and will not be liable for any issues arising from changes in these aspects.

  13. Refunds
Clients are required to make payment in full upfront. If a cancellation request is received within 24 hours of purchase, a full refund will be issued. To request a refund, clients must submit their cancellation request in writing via email to emma@blueprinttheory.com.au or through the designated communication channels specified by Blueprint Theory.

Requests received after the 24-hour period will not be eligible for a refund. Blueprint Theory is not responsible for any loss or costs incurred by the client due to cancellation. Clients should follow the specified procedure for requesting a refund to ensure their request is processed efficiently.

  14. Use of Photographs and Marketing
The client agrees to allow Blueprint Theory to photograph the project during all stages of development, including after project completion, for use in marketing and promotional materials. Blueprint Theory will not disclose the client’s name or location without prior consent.
Clients have the right to request the removal of their project from marketing materials at any time. To do so, clients must submit their request in writing via email to emma@blueprinttheory.com.au or through the designated communication channels specified by Blueprint Theory. Upon receipt of such a request, Blueprint Theory will take reasonable steps to remove the project from future marketing materials and communications.

  15. Indemnification
Clients agree to indemnify and hold Blueprint Theory harmless from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising out of the client's use of the design or services provided. This includes, but is not limited to, any legal or financial repercussions resulting from the implementation of the design, disputes with third parties, or any infringement of intellectual property rights.

  16. General Restrictions
Clients must not engage in any activity that interferes with the operation of the website or services provided by Blueprint Theory. Unauthorised use of any content, designs, or materials provided by Blueprint Theory is strictly prohibited.

  17. Amendments
Blueprint Theory reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Clients are encouraged to review these terms periodically to stay informed of any changes. Notification of changes will be provided via email or on our website.

  18. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes arising out of these terms shall be resolved in the courts of New South Wales.

  19. Purchase Disclaimer
Blueprint Theory provides product and material recommendations as part of our design services. However, we are not responsible for the quality, craftsmanship, availability, pricing, or any other aspect of the items we suggest. Clients should conduct their own research and due diligence before making any purchases. Any issues related to the procurement process, including returns or exchanges, are the client’s responsibility. We strongly advise clients to request, source, or view physical samples whenever feasible to mitigate discrepancies between digital representations and real-life products.

  20. Confidentiality
Blueprint Theory is committed to maintaining the confidentiality of all sensitive and proprietary information provided by the client during the course of the project. This includes, but is not limited to, design concepts, personal data, and business information. Blueprint Theory's total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the services provided will be limited to the amount paid by the client for those services. This limitation does not exclude or limit liability for fraud or other liabilities that cannot be excluded or limited by law. Clients should be aware that Australian consumer protection laws may provide certain rights that cannot be waived or limited by contract.

  22. Force Majeure
Blueprint Theory will not be held liable for any delay or failure to perform its obligations under these terms due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, acts of war, or governmental actions. In the event of such delays, Blueprint Theory will notify the client as soon as reasonably possible and will make reasonable efforts to resume performance. Clients are not required to take any specific actions in the event of a force majeure situation but will be kept informed about the status of their project.

  23. No Guarantee of Results
While Blueprint Theory strives to provide high-quality visualisations and recommendations, we do not guarantee specific results or outcomes from the use of our services. The effectiveness and success of the designs are dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, client decisions, implementation practices, and external conditions. Clients should be aware that while we aim to meet their expectations, results may vary.

  24. Client Feedback and Approval
Clients are expected to provide timely feedback and approvals at various stages of the project. To avoid delays, clients should provide feedback within 5 business days of receiving design materials. Delays in providing feedback or approvals may affect project timelines and outcomes. Blueprint Theory is not responsible for any delays or issues arising from lack of client response.

  25. Limitation of Client’s Use
Clients are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the deliverables for their intended purpose only.
